'Death Road' La Paz, Bolivia
Renowned as one of the most dangerous roads in the world, the North
Yungas Road in Bolivia is known as Death Road, because the hundreds of
lives lost each year.
Along the 43 miles of road, at an altitude of 2,000 ft does not have a
fence, to prevent cyclists or motorcycle crashed on the edge of a steep
cliff.
The stunning scenery attracts more than 25,000 mountain bikers every
year, and a marked path wooden cross to mark the area where the accident
occurred, which can reach up to 300 per year.
